Niels Kreuk

Investment director

Niels joined SDG Capital in 2023 as Investment Director, bringing broad experience in buy-and-build investments. At Waterland Private Equity, he supported management teams with strategy and acquisitions and was involved in more than 50 M&A transactions across seven European countries. Before joining SDG Capital, Niels traveled the world and worked on freelance projects in strategy and finance.

Niels believes impact and financial return can go hand in hand. He excels at finding creative and multidisciplinary solutions.

Niels holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics and Organizational Psychology from the University of Twente and started entrepreneurial activities already as a student.

Outside of work, Niels enjoys cooking, jazz, and scuba diving.

Ilse de Boer

Investment analyst

Ilse started at SDG in April 2024 as an investment analyst. Prior to that, she worked at YAG, a student-run strategy consultancy. She also completed internships at Metyis and Nordian. At Metyis, she worked on a digital strategy for a healthcare institution for the elderly, driven by her interest in social impact.

Ilse holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a BSc in Medical Informatics from the University of Amsterdam. She believes in the power of companies to address social challenges and environmental issues.

In her free time, Ilse enjoys running, skiing, and dining out with her family.

Arjan Snijders

Founder & partner

Arjan takes the time to truly understand each business — immersing himself in operations to become a thoughtful and reliable sparring partner for leadership teams. He brings fresh ideas to the table and encourages management to think bigger and take bold steps. He knows that growing a business requires balance: the patience to let things mature, and the decisiveness to act quickly when the moment calls for it.

Arjan holds a Master of Science degree from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD.

In his spare time, he enjoys improving his VO2 max, programming games with his eldest son, playing tennis with his youngest, traveling by train on vacations, walking his Red Fox Labrador, and savoring the culinary talents of his wife.

Jelle Prins

Investment analyst

Jelle gained experience in private equity as an intern at SDG Capital, where he was involved in SDG’s first investment. Before that, Jelle worked as a strategy consultant for De Kleine Consultant.

He believes that sustainability challenges present opportunities to build strong businesses that deliver positive outcomes for both society and the climate. He developed sharp analytical skills by working on sustainable growth strategies — assessing business risks and identifying opportunities.

Jelle holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy Technology from Delft University of Technology and completed a business course at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

In his free time, Jelle enjoys road cycling with one of his three brothers or spending time with friends and family.
